Mal’ca mimogrede

, in Maribor

On top of the list for us is definitely Mal’ca Mimogrede, just a short walk away – serving only 5 meal options

every week.
It is only open from Mon – Fri. The food is absolutely fresh and made in small quantities. The last meal should be ordered at 3pm latest and the restaurant closes at 4pm.

To get a spot it’s good to make a reservation especially if you want to eat at noon time which is the busiest hour of the restaurant as all the locals have a lunch break and the restaurant is tiny.

It really is a lovely little restaurant run by a great guy who will serve you the proper “grandma” food, in a spoken menu!

What to do in Maribor

Maribor is a city of significant importance in Slovenia, serving as the second largest city in the country. The city has a rich history, with its first recorded mention as a castle dating back to 1164, and its development as a settlement in 1209. Maribor was granted town privileges in 1254 and has since grown to encompass an area of 40.98 square km. It is not big, but big enough for 113,778 inhabitants that call Maribor their home town.

In Štajerska we don’t say ‘Keep the change’ we say ‘Vreji je’ and I think that’s beautiful.
